Hal Mann is the result of almost 50 years of intensive work by the Vella family. Founded in 1954, the business today spans five companies. HMI manufacture terrazzo tiles and pre-cast terrazzo elements, ceramic tiles and agglomerated resin-based marble in sheets and tiles. HMI also design and create elements from marble, granite and other natural stones.

HMI is a 'dream come true' for any designer, as HMI has the ability to work marble, granite and agglomerate marble and then manufacture terrazzo tiles and pre-cast elements to match or blend with the natural stones or a designer’s palette. If this is not enough, Hal Mann International Ltd then produce ceramic tiles and accessories to customer requirements, often matching colours and designs where others have failed. We also produce ceramic mosaics to customer specifications.
HMI has, over the years, gained a positive track record in exporting to various countries around the world. Many have sought the quality of the 'Hal Mann' terrazzo tile, which can now be found in the U.S.A. Canada, Scotland, Ireland, England, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Holland, Italy, Sri-Lanka, Australia and the Middle East, with the list growing as each month passes. Hal Mann even designed a terrazzo tile capable of taking over one million pairs of feet a day, now installed at the Hong Kong railway terminus.
